Christiane F (1981) Blu-Ray Import - Spain
Spain has released a Blu-Ray DVD that is region A/B/C and will not play on a regular DVD player. To view this Blu-Ray DVD, you will need a Blu-Ray DVD player. The synopsis of the movie is that it portrays the drug scene in Berlin in the 70s, following tape recordings of Christiane F. 14-year-old Christiane lives with her mother and little sister in a typical multi-story apartment building in Berlin. She's fascinated by the 'Sound', a new disco with the most modern equipment. Although she's legally too young, she asks a friend to take her. There she meets Detlef, who's in a clique where everybody's on drugs, and she gets drawn deeper into the scene step by step.
The movie was screened and awarded at the Montreal World Film Festival, under the title "Christiane F. - Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo" in 1981.
